The Reaching Out Project (ROP) is a practical support project providing a range of services to people who are socially isolated because of their impairments, age, ill health or because they are caring for someone. All of this is done with the help of our volunteers, many of whom are themselves disabled or socially isolated.
Services ROP provides include:
Daily telephone safety checks when we call people in their homes to see they are;
Information and advice, for example issues about support needs, housing, benefits, equipment etc;
Advocacy including issues around benefits and support / care;
Accessible trips and activities including coffee clubs and social groups;
Representation in consultations and decision making forums;
Volunteering opportunities; and
Training for social work students.
If you would like to speak to or volunteer with us please call 020 8519 6369, Option 1 and ask for Teresa.
